Bridge Press Cellars 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon, Walla Walla Valley, $35
By Great Northwest Wine on May 13, 2016
Bridge Press Cellars in Spokane’s Cork District built this wine with Cabernet Sauvignon (92%), Merlot (5%) and Cabernet Franc from the Walla Walla Valley, then aged it in French oak for 20 months. The result is a sophisticated mix of black cherry, blackberry and blueberry aromas and flavors under subtle nuances of caramel and spice. It finishes long and lush. This earned a gold medal at the 2016 Cascadia Wine Competition.
