Phil Warren’s winery is a stone’s throw from the Yakima River and across Demoss Road from the Red Mountain American Viticultural Area on the parcel that served as the home for the now-defunct Oakwood Cellars. His latest expression of Cab offers aromas of huckleberry, President plum, black cherry and Craisins with accents of vanilla and brown sugar. That panoply of dark purple fruit pushes on through to the rather luscious palate, picking up pomegranate juice, fine-grained cherry skin tannins and a combination of dried blueberries and Waterbridge Ponterfract Cake in the rewarding finish.

WOW! What a great article Andy! The 2012 Cabernet is definitely one of my favorites. I just updated the tasting notes on our website here http://tucannoncellars.orderport.net/product-details/0072/2012-Cabernet-Sauvignon!
