Grizzly Peak Winery 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon, Rogue Valley, $26
By Great Northwest Wine on May 25, 2016
Southern Oregon winemaker Linda Donovan nurtured the grapes for Grizzly Peak’s 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon. The result is a complex drink with aromas of spice, dried black cherry, cassis and chocolate trailed by flavors of black cherry, blackberry, blueberry and plum. It closes with a bit of crisp acidity and firm tannins. This earned a double gold medal at the 2016 Cascadia Wine Competition.
