Armonéa Winery and Vineyard at Wine Country Farm 2013 Summit Vineyard Estate Pinot Noir, Dundee Hills, $35
By Great Northwest Wine on May 28, 2016
One of Oregon wine country’s premier B&B properties, it also features a 2-acre vineyard along Archery Summit Road in red hills of Dundee. More than half of that planting is dedicated to Pinot Noir. Ken Wright cellarmaster Alberto Alcazar develops a Pinot Noir that offers aromas of toasted almond, milk chocolate, macerated cherry and fresh-cut red bell pepper. Across the palate, intense dark cherry flavors are joined by cassis. The delicious midpalate hits on moderate tannins with long-lasting Montmorency cherry juice acidity.
