Reustle-Prayer Rock Vineyards 2013 Winemaker’s Reserve Tempranillo, Umpqua Valley, $39
By Great Northwest Wine on May 28, 2016
Stephen Reustle’s amazing 40 acres near Sutherlin, Ore., excels with cool-climate whites and reds, yet he shows his skills this busty, 15-barrel production of Tempranillo. Its theme of dusty Bing cherry, cola, cinnamon and dried herbs offers rich tannins that he suggests serving with grilled lamb, quail and Manchego cheese.
