Scott Greenberg’s flagship wine is this Right Bank-style blend of Merlot (50%), Petit Verdot (28%), Malbec (20%) and Cabernet Franc from E&E Shaw, Scooteney Flats, Heart of the Hill and Kiona Vineyard, respectively. And this ranks among the best efforts by this Woodinville vintner since launching his 1,100-case winery in 2008. The nose of blackberry, blueberry and raspberry picks up accents of bittersweet chocolate, cocoa powder and baking spices. There’s a delicious match on the palate, which is nicely balanced with chewy tannins and elderberry in the finish. Suggested pairings range from grilled beef and roasted chicken, and the wines are available at tasting room in the Woodinville Warehouse District, the winery website, Amazon and Vinoshipper.
