He’s quick to give credit to the Jones family fruit, however Victor Palencia continues to earn his spot in the discussion when it comes of producing some of the finest white wines in Washington state. Unit 7 remains the source of this Viognier, which opens with aromas of lime soda, Pink Lady apple, peach and pineapple, backed by inviting hints of orange blossom, fig and honey. Ripe fruit flavors of peach and honeydew melon are met with pleasing lemon/lime acidity to easily balance the residual sugar of 0.9%. Pear skin and pineapple add to the remarkable finish. This marks the second straight vintage for Viognier from Jones of Washington to receive our top rating.
