Tamarack Cellars 2015 Rosé of Mourvèdre, Wahluke Slope, $15
Best Buy! The popularity of Northwest-made rosé continues to rise, and Tamarack Cellars offers yet another example of why. Danny Gordon continues to source this from Weinbau Vineyard on the Wahluke Slope, and it’s quite a serious offering. The peach color leads to generous aromas of dried strawberry, light cherry and lime peel with a pinch of dried oregano. Inside, it’s an easy bone-dry drink of Rainier cherry and lingonberry with a fascinating mouth feel that’s backed by Montmorency cherry tartness. white strawberry and more dried herbs. Enjoyed with a loaf of fresh crusty bread, olive oil, olives and soft cheeses. Fortunately, production of this pink has more than doubled in the past two years.
Rating: Excellent
Production: 350 cases

Caroline,
Apparently, rosé is so important that it has a national day and an international day.
