Ambassador Vineyard is in a good neighborhood along Ambassador Road on Red Mountain, just below Col Solare and west of Quintessence Vineyards. And then there’s the renowned Dick Boushey as the manager of the young site. Woodinville winemaker Kit Singh chose a neutral French oak program to help create a theme of dried blueberry and blackberry with delicious touches of coffee, pepper, licorice and caramel. Enjoyable tannins akin to black currant skins will lend this nicely to suggested pairings of garlic-influenced lamb or sausage, served with asparagus, mushrooms and potatoes.
