The Isenhowers often see themselves as jugglers with having to manage winemaking, entrepreneurialism and raising three daughters, so they’ve adopted a medieval term for a juggler as a proprietary name for their Petit Verdot. This work with Dionysus Block 13 Petit Verdot shows some magic, too, because its richness and juicy profile is more approachable than most standalone bottlings of this often-tannic blending Bordeaux grape. Perfumy florals include cherry, blackberry, white pepper and fresh cedar. That rich mouth feel allows of flavors of elderberry, cola and pomegranate, backed by green peppercorn and chocolate-covered cranberry. Ask for this at their tasting rooms in Woodinville near Tandem Dinner & Wine Bar and south of Walla Walla on Old Milton Highway.
