Its texture is redolent of dark purple fruit, akin to plum with pomegranate and a long pulse of bursting blueberry. Round tannins provide good grip in the finish with horehound and bittersweet chocolate. Suggested pairings include Butch Milbrandt’s Easy Spicy Pizza alongside a light salad with feta and vinaigrette.
