Aubichon Cellars 2015 Riverside Vineyard Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, $55
The grower/winemaker tandem of Tom Mortimer and Jim Sanders remain committed to showcasing Riverside Vineyard near the McMinnville American Viticultural Area, and this young release ranks among the best in its portfolio that includes Le Cadeau and Jolete. Those seeking dark purple fruited Pinot Noir from the North Willamette Valley should enjoy markers such as black cherry and blueberry soda with jasmine and cinnamon aromas. Inside, it’s an easy drink of plum and dark raspberry, backed by milk chocolate and a long finish of blueberry and black currant. These wines can be experienced at the Le Cadeau Tasting Room in Dundee next to Babica Hen Café.
