Melissa Burr, who learned winemaking through Chemeketa College and Oregon State University, began working for Bill Stoller in 2003. During the past decade, she’s established a reputation as one of the Willamette Valley’s top rosé producers, and her latest and largest bottling also might be her most delicious. Welcoming aromas of strawberry freezer jam, golden raspberry and rose petal lead into approachable flavors of pink strawberry, pink grapefruit and a pulsating finish of raspberry that’s compelling. There’s no denying the thirst of rosé in the Northwest, and Stoller has increased its production by nearly 4,500 cases since the 2014 vintage. As a result, look for this gem in 30 states.
