Three Rivers Winery 2016 Cabernet Franc Rosé, Walla Walla Valley, $16
By Great Northwest Wine on June 11, 2017
Holly Turner creates two superb styles of rosé for her followers, but this focused work with Cabernet Franc – harvested Aug. 31 off the Three Rivers Estate — plays up to fans of Chinon. Francophiles in particular will gravitate to its theme of dusty red fruit and herbes de Provence, backed by celery leaf, white pepper and slice of starfruit in the bone-dry finish. Enjoy with a bread and cheese plate that includes pate or charcuterie from either Olympia Provisions in Oregon or Cured by Visconti’s in Washington.
