coach house cellars cabernet sauvignon nv label 2 - Coach House Cellars 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon, Columbia Valley, $20Scott Whitman continues to show a flair for red wine production, thanks to the support from sources such as Sheridan Vineyard in the Yakima Valley and Les Collines Vineyard in the Walla Walla Valley foothills. And the influence of Scott Greer at Sheridan is apparent with this bold yet sophisticated Cab, which opens with aromas of black cherry, black currant, cinnamon and a pinch of leafiness. Inside, it swirls in flavors of plum jam, red currant and sweet red bell pepper, backed by a pinch of clove. This year marks the 10th anniversary of this Bellingham partnership with Paxton Rembert, and their wines are available at their Fairhaven neighborhood tasting room at the Rustic Coffee + Wine Bar.
