Canoe Ridge Vineyard 2016 The Expedition Pinot Gris, Horse Heaven Hills, $16
By Great Northwest Wine on May 3, 2018
Traditionally, this Walla Walla winery pulls the fruit from this not from its estate Canoe Ridge Vineyard, but rather from The Benches, a dramatic site farther upstream on the Columbia River. Breath in hints of sweet tea with mint, dried apricot and gooseberry. On the palate, it mimics an Arnold Palmer influenced by starfruit and baked apple and apricot pit.
