Beaumont Cellars 2015 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, Red Mountain, $39
By Great Northwest Wine on May 26, 2018
Using grapes from warm Red Mountain, Quincy winemaker Pete Beaumont has crafted a beautiful and pure Cabernet Sauvignon that opens with aromas of cranberry and a hint of sage. It’s a full-bodied red with aromas of plum, black currant jam and a hint of black licorice on the finish. This won a double gold and best of class at the 2017 Wenatchee Wine Competition, and their wines are available at their Woodinville tasting room. Suggested pairings include grilled steak, charred Gruyère burger, mushroom pizza with tomato sauce or mushroom Stroganoff.
