Jeff and Sheila Jirka have built one of the few winery/tasting room/bistro operations in Woodinville’s Warehouse District. Their 2011 Continuity, a wine created in the style of a Left Bank Bordeaux blend, hails from some of the Washington wine industry’s premier vineyards such as Boushey, Kiona, Les Collines and Sheridan. The blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (71%), Merlot (16%), Cabernet Franc (7%), Malbec (4%) and Petit Verdot brings aromas of blackcurrant, plum, black pepper and fresh-cut celery. That bold dark fruit profile spills with intensity yet approachable on the palate. Resolved tannins and savory olive notes are met by a lovely cherry juice finish that comes with great reward. This earned a gold medal and best of class at the 2018 Capital Food and Wine Festival Wine Competition.
