Waterbrook Winery 2016 Sauvignon Blanc, Columbia Valley, $12

By on August 1, 2018

Best Buy! Oasis Vineyard in the Yakima Valley remains a core component for John Freeman’s Sauvigon Blanc at Waterbrook, and this vintage brings in venerable Sagemoor Vineyard along the Columbia River. He also dials down the residual sugar to less than 2 grams per liter, more than half of that from the prior vintage. As a result, it’s lemony crisp along the transition from starfruit and spearmint to Gala apple and Asian pear in the finish.
