Belle Fiore Winery 2014 Belle Arte Estate Montepulciano, Rogue Valley, $37
By Great Northwest Wine on August 25, 2018
Belle Fiore Winery based in Ashland, Ore., produces small lots of wines often with an Italian bent, such as this Montepulciano drawing from estate fruit. A bit of vanilla and blackberries dominate in the nose, backed by rich and plummy flavors with tannin structure akin to fine flannel. This won a gold medal at the sixth annual Cascadia International Wine Competition.
