eye of the needle reserve dolcetto 2014 bottle - Eye of the Needle Winery 2014 Reserve Dolcetto, Columbia Valley, $28Milbrandt-owned Purple Sage Vineyard on the Wahluke Slope has been an underrated source of Dolcetto in Washington. Here, Woodinville’s Bob Bullock showcases the juicy Italian red grape under his Eye of the Needle brand. It’s remarkably floral with hints of lilac, rose hips and bay rum among the black cherry and menthol notes. Sandy tannins make for long flavors of cherry pie and pomegranate, which finish with a reward of coffee and spice.
