Daven Lore Winery 2016 Chardonnay, Ancient Lakes of Columbia Valley $25
By Great Northwest Wine on December 16, 2018
From the hills overlooking the Yakima Valley and the town of Prosser, winemaker Gordon Taylor used grapes out of the fascinating Columbia Basin’s Ancient Lakes region for this engaging example of Chardonnay. Sweet aromas of honeydew, Pink Lady apple and candy corn lead to a palate filled with slices of Golden Delicious apple and Asian pear that’s finished with a hint of minerality so often found in white wines from the Ancient Lakes.
