Plain Cellars 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon, Red Mountain, $38
By Great Northwest Wine on March 3, 2019

In 2017, this Cabernet Sauvignon using grapes from Shaw Vineyard along the western ridge of Red Mountain won the prize for top Cab at the Wenatchee judging. A year later, another gold medal helps to cement Plain Cellars’ spot among North-Central Washington’s top producers of red wine. Aromas of sage and mint give way to flavors of plum and cocoa. It’s a big, flavorful and complex wine backed by hefty tannins.
