This stunning Salmon-Safe vineyard, purchased by Jackson Family Wines in 2013 and downwind of the Van Duzer Corridor, typically leads to Pinot Noir that earned our top rating. Bryan Weil extends that tradition for Alexana Winery in the Dundee Hills. Aromas of black cherry, Marionberry, dried herbs and bittersweet chocolate are realized on the palate, which brings depth inside an easy-to-enjoy medium body found in many Willamette Valley Pinot Noirs from 2016. The length of the finish is particularly compelling and calls out for roast pork or duck breast.
