Mork Wines 2016 Red Blend, Columbia Valley $15
By Great Northwest Wine on March 13, 2019

Best Buy! The Mork family reaches into the Wahluke Slope and Columbia Basin for this blend of Merlot (75%) and Syrah that lives up to this young Seattle brand’s slogan as “edgy without angles.” It’s fruit-forward and tangy from start to finish as blueberry, Bing cherry, sweet herbs and cardamom are framed by nicely managed tannins and pomegranate juiciness. Suggested pairings range from broiled steak, lamb chops, tomato-heavy dishes and paella to aged Gouda and cheddar.
