A Syrah program that traditionally pulls from vineyards such Ambassador on Red Mountain and Dineen in the Rattlesnake Hills has served Woodinville winemaker Kit Singh well, and this displays the skillful balanced that he learned at both the Northwest Wine Academy and later at DeLille Cellars. Fruit-forward aromas of dusty blackcurrant, dark raspberry and plum skin come with a sprinkle of black pepper. Lush tannins keep the focus on flavors of elderberry and blueberry. Suggested pairings include lamb with garlic, sausages and grilled meats alongside asparagus, mushrooms or potatoes.
