Best Buy! Kiona Vineyards on Red Mountain, the Corliss family’s Blue Mountain Vineyard in the Walla Walla Valley and Precept’s large Canyon Vineyard Ranch in the Yakima Valley are among the vineyards that combine for this delightful and affordable rosé. Cesar Cuellar, longtime right-hand man at Waterbrook Winery for John Freeman, added Sagelands Vineyard to his responsibilities starting with this 2017 vintage, and he adroitly blended Sangiovese (61%), Grenache (18%), Lemberger (12%) and Syrah for this pink salmon rosé. Fun aromas of dried strawberry, cherry and watermelon lead to tremendously food-friendly flavors of pink strawberry and watermelon rind that finish with Mandarin orange.
