Buty Winery 2017 Sèmillon 66% Sauvignon 18% Muscadelle 16%, Columbia Valley, $25
By Great Northwest Wine on August 31, 2019

Lonesome Spring Ranch in the Yakima Valley provides the special ingredient of Muscadelle in this Bordeaux-inspired white wine that’s been a treat at Buty Winery since 2000. Sèmillon from famed Boushey Vineyard and history Rosebud on the Wahluke Slope make up the base (66%), with the Sauvignon Blanc also coming from LSR. The nose of lemonade, Naval orange and slate comes through on the clean flavors as fig, a squirt of lime and scrape of minerality provide added finesse in this food-friendly drink.
