Northwest Cellars 2014 Fortissimo Red Wine, Columbia Valley, $24
By Great Northwest Wine on August 31, 2019

One of the Woodinville area’s best values vintage after vintage is Robert Delf’s toothsome blend of Syrah (60%), Carménère (20%) and Cabernet Sauvignon under the artwork of Puget Sound’s Laura Luke Olsen. The sense of Syrah shows immediately in the nose of cured meat, followed by cassis, roasted coffee and toffee. That cassis makes its way to the flavor profile as raspberry juice and black currant skins combine for an enjoyable structure.
