Mork Wines 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon, Columbia Valley, $17
By Great Northwest Wine on September 5, 2019

The Seattle-based Mork family aligned itself with the Milbrandt team and their Wahluke Slope grapes for this quaffable and straight-forward Cabernet Sauvignon. The nose of black cherry and blueberry comes with oak spice, brown sugar and pleasing dried herbs. Those dark purple fruit tones are reflected as flavors as ample tannins and blackberry acidity combine for a solid finish. Suggested pairings include beef short ribs, meatballs, roasted vegetables, chorizo, salami, and a plate of aged cheddar or peppery cheese.
