Spindrift Cellars 2016 Pinot Blanc, Willamette Valley, $18
By Great Northwest Wine on September 5, 2019

Matt Compton’s touch with Pinot Blanc brings out some delicious layering to a Burgundian variety that’s not easy to create fascination for. The fanciful nose of tutti frutti, honeydew melon, white peach and watermelon return on the palate with a pleasing mouth feel. Refreshing acidity and a touch of oak make for a medium structure as the finishing touches of minerality lemon oil make this ideal for scallops or steamed mussels.
