Best Buy! Precept Wine and its Oregon winemaking talent Sarah Cabot launched this brand as partnership with Landry’s, the Texas-based conglomerate that takes in Pacific Northwest properties such as McCormick & Schmick’s, Stanley & Seaforts in Tacoma, Jake’s Grill and Portland City Grill. Cabot worked with Willamette Valley sites such as Airlie, Lange and Left Coast as well as Melrose in the Umpqua Valley for this rather classic Oregon style of Pinot Gris. Fascinating aromas of Mandarin orange, gooseberry and papaya lead to racy flavors of lemon and dried pineapple, backed by sweet herbs and minerality. Build to be widely versatile with food, look for Marion-Field wines as glass pours at select Landry’s properties.
