One of the Northwest’s most exciting producers branches out its rosé program with a third Rhône-inspired release, this one spearheaded by Melanie Krause’s assistant winemaker, Hailey Alexander. Her work is blend of Grenache (9%), Syrah (67%) and Mourvèdre (24%) from Sawtooth and Williamson vineyards west of Idaho’s state capital. Delicious fruitiness ranges from strawberry, Mandarin orange with a twist of grapefruit. A ginger spiciness melds beautifully with the bright juicy acidity to stretch out the mouthwatering finish and leave you wanting more. Enjoy with vanilla gelato or iced oysters with lemon vinaigrette. Each of the three rosés have earned a gold medal at West Coast competitions this summer, including one for Alexander at the Cascadia International.
