Beacon Hill Winery & Vineyard 2019 Beacon Hill Vineyard Riesling, Yamhill-Carlton, $26

By on October 19, 2020

George Hillberry and Carla Rodríguez focus their white wine program on their brand’s namesake Salmon-Safe vineyard, and the Gaston, Ore., producer pulls from 20-year-old Neustadt 90 clone vines for this rather fascinating Riesling. Tropical aromas of guava, pineapple and coconut include a sense of grassiness and citrus. Those carry through on the fruity palate which is bone-dry as Key lime juice and slatiness join guava on the finish.
