The Reeds have been farming in the Hood River Valley since 1993, and second-generation winemaker Peter Cushman continues to showcase the fruit from Blue Chip Farm and Vineyard for the Reed family’s Wy’East Vineyards with dazzling results. A discrete deployment of French oak and 12 months in barrel leads to an elegantly structured Chardonnay with fresh aromas of green apple, melon and nectarine. These flavors echo on the palate and are backed by notes of lemon, vanilla and mineral. There is a refreshing acidity on the balanced finish. It earned a gold medal last summer at the Cascadia International Wine Competition. Enjoy with Golden Mushroom Sirloin Beef Tips.
