Precept CEO Andrew Browne now operates Browne Family Vineyards tasting rooms in Walla Walla, Seattle and Tacoma’s Proctor District, and the Vineyard Collection series produced for him by John Freeman is limited to sales in those three rooms. Freeman has been working with Merlot from famed Klipsun Vineyard for a decade under this label, and the wines produced from this vineyard since its purchase by Terlato are on the rise. Aromas of black cherry, black olive and iron shavings turn into flavors of juicy blue fruit with midpalate richness hinting at black licorice and vanilla bourbon. Blueberry taffy, clove and lavender add charm to the finish, and suggested pairings include Beef Bourguignon or other stewed beef dishes.
