This second label from Dusted Valley Vintners continues to provide first-rate value as the relationship with young McNary Vineyard in Washington’s famed Horse Heaven Hills, award-winning grower Tom Merkle and Four Feathers Wine Estatees in Prosser deepens. After a wood program of 20% new French oak, Wisconsin brothers-in-law Corey Braunel and Chad Johnson arrived at a blend of Merlot (90%), Syrah (5%), Cabernet Sauvignon (3%) and Malbec. Their juice comes out gushing with notes of sweet blue fruit, vanilla bean and lavendar. There’s delicious depth, richness and rewarding acidity from Marionberry. Heck, there’s even a hint of Horse Heaven Hills sage in the finish.
