Oregon State grad Brian Carter pulls off some magic with this recent release of his flagship red. We won’t list all 12 varieties in play, but the assortment is led by Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Sangiovese, Petit Verdot and Merlot. It’s deep, dark and delicious, dominated by flavors and aromas of black currant, Damson plum, baking spice and graphite. One judge complimented the winemaker for the wine’s “forever finish.” Award: Bellingham Northwest (gold).
