Founder/owner Denny Evans and his family began planting the hillside above their Stone House in 2001, and Malbec was the first Bordeaux variety they added a decade later — the same year Michelle Fanton arrived as a winemaker. This is a floral example, showcasing aromas of lavender and lilac ahead of black cherry, cedar and toasted oak. Inside, it’s rich, long and juicy, featuring flavors of Marionberry and boysenberry with a finish of elderberry.
