Best Buy! While these wines are poured in Seattle’s SODO Urbanworks, they are made at the Long Shadows facility in the Walla Walla Valley and the pedigree stems from some of Washington’s top breeding grounds for Riesling — the historic White Bluffs and the still-underrated Horse Heaven Hills. The nose offers a light whiff of petrol that’s followed by cotton candy, Granny Smith apple, rosewater and HHH dustiness. Its flavor profile brings notes of a pleasingly dry Riesling with fruitiness that’s ripe but not sweet — the residual sugar rides at 1% — as peach, melon and lemon ride with levity. Suggested pairings include fried chicken, spicy Thai and sushi or give it a shot with a slice of the Corsa next door at Nine Pies Pizzeria.
