The Lawrence family continues to raise the profile of this young American Viticultural Area in Washington’s Columbia Basin with their site selection, viticulture practices and precise winemaking. This bottling represents the first vintage with Chilean-born Matías Kúsulas as their head winemaker after his promotion, and his all-Grenache rosé is reminsicent of Provence in appearance, aromatics and bright structure. Floral notes begin with Rainier cherry, pink strawberry, cranberry and rhubarb joined by sweet herbs. Raspberry and red currant flavors are met with a pinch of celery leaf that combine for an refreshing finish that lingers prompts another sip. Enjoy with the smoked chicken wings or empanada of the day at the Lawrence family’s Gård Public House in downtown Royal City.
