This most recent Left Bank-Bordeaux expression from Brian Carter focuses on Cabernet Sauvignon from two sites with deep roots on Red Mountain — E&E Shaw and Klipsun. This is also the second consecutive vintage that Carter earned a Platinum for his Solesce, which is his flagship Bordeaux red blend, and the fourth time in his career. It offers notes of Red Vines licorice, vanilla cream, Earl Grey tea and minerality as nicely integrated tannins allow for full enjoyment of ripe strawberries, black cherry and chocolate cake.
