Chef/winemaker Holly Brown and her husband, Kevin, share ownership of this 12-acre site with the proprietors of Betz Family Winery, and Siren Song’s work with it resulted in a Platinum for the third straight vintage with Cabernet Franc. That’s remarkable stuff, and it proves this AVA offers more than Syrah. There’s a beautiful feminine approach here in its red cherry, red currant and cola profile, which brings lovely spices and features fruit over herbaceousness. Qualifying award: Wenatchee (gold)
