In Méthode Champenoise or Traditional Method winemaking, dosage refers to the addition of a small amount of sugar and wine. This is done to adjust the sweetness and flavor of the final sparkling wine and ensure that it is perfectly balanced.
In this installment of the Discovery Series, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about dosage from our Assistant Winemaker, Jarod Sleet. Jarod will guide you through the entire process of crafting RMS sparkling wines, explaining what he and Rollin look for when deciding how much or how little to add. You’ll even get to participate in a series of tasting trials yourself to gain a deeper understanding of the process!
