West Coast Swing Dance Day

Put on your dance shoes for a wonderful day of West Coast Swing with internationally acclaimed dance instructor Michael Kielbasa. The day will kick off with a teacher training session, followed by four exciting workshops, and culminate in a social dance event featuring a 30-minute teacher assistant social lesson and music by DJ James, keeping the party going until 9:30 PM with Michael.

10:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Teacher Training (see description below)

1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Spins & Turns – All levels (Must know WCS Basics)
2:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Whip It Right “Variations Galore” – All levels (Must know WCS Basics)
3:30 PM – 4:30 PM: Happy Feet “Footwork Styles” – (Intermediate/Advanced)
4:30 PM – 5:30 PM: Advanced Styling Made Easy – (Intermediate/Advanced)
Dinner Break
6:30 PM – 7:00 PM: Teacher Dance Assisted Class
7:00 PM – 9:30 PM: Social Dance

Additional Information:

Beverages (wine, beer, & non-alcoholic) will be available for purchase during the social dance. Outside alcohol is not permitted.
Food options will be announced soon, but you are welcome to bring your own.

If you are a beginner or want to start learning, Michael will be at  Shawn Gardeners Dancing in Tigard Friday night the 28th . Private lessons with Michael are available Sunday at Shawn Gardeners Dancing.

·        Teachers Training Bio: As a Master Instructor with Global GPDIA, Michael has always been passionate about helping people learn and grow their skills as social dancers, competitors, and teachers. He has an innate ability to size up the level of dancers in a room and adjust material on the fly to accommodate and pro
