A few pockets of Pinot Noir planted in Washington state can be spotted around Lake Chelan, and the Dufenhorst family pulls from their initial estate vineyard for this nicely balanced rosé. There’s a sense of Provence with its light wardrobe, created via 14 hours of skin contact before whole-cluster pressing, and the nose offers tickles of Rainier cherry and raspberry. The fluid is redolent of red currant, cranberry and dried strawberry in front the squirt of citron in the finish that creates a delicious balance of red fruit and acidity.
