Last year marked John Guerrero’s 30th vintage beyond his graduation from University of California-Davis, and the Southern Oregon winemaker shows skill and patience with these white Bordeaux berries from Rancho Vista Vineyard in Grants Pass. He aged it 25 months in French oak to develop alluring aromas of candied apricot and orange with butterscotch candy and grilled pineapple. It’s a honeyed drink loaded with pineapple and more apricot flavors, making for a voluptuous midpalate. There’s plenty of acidity to balance the 14% residual sugar. Sales of this sticky are limited to the tasting room and mail order.
