Joleté Wines 2016 Le Verre Cuvée Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, $21

By on May 29, 2018

While a second label for Le Cadeau Vineyard, the Joleté wines show a similar attention to detail from winemaker Jim Sanders as he does with many of his other wines. Fruit from the Chehalem Mountains, which serves as his home base, provides the foundation for Le Verre – French for the glass. Aromas of Bing cherry, sweet plum and white pepper include subtle earthiness and dried herbs. Soft cherry and dark berry flavors are met by nicely managed tannins, making for a more delicate and restrained expression of Pinot Noir that’s affordably priced.
