By on August 23, 2013

Sawtooth Winery is in Idaho's Snake River Valley and is owned by Precept Wine in Seattle.Best Buy! Idaho has only recently begun to increase its production of Pinot Gris, which has become so popular in other Northwest regions. And this is a delicious example of why the Snake River Valley could prove to be a strong contender with the bright white grape. This opens with aromas of fruit cocktail, lime zest and lychee, followed by flavors of pear, cherry and pineapple. It’s all backed with bright acidity. Pair this with trout, salmon or scallops.

Rating: Excellent
