Tempranillo, the red grape of Spain’s Rioja region, is not normally associated with the cool Willamette Valley. But this winery in the Dundee Hills grows just enough to make a delicious rosé, available in the tasting room. It offers aromas of cooked cherry, earth, strawberry and rose petals, followed by flavors of lime juice, cranberry and Rainier cherry. It’s a bright, dry wine with a lingering midpalate.
